Meet me in solitary! The film The Trouble with Nature, full of beautiful mountain scenery, is followed by a conversation between Anna Hogenová and Lukáš Rumlena about the beneficial effects of solitary confinement on mental health.

The English philosopher Edmund Burke is having a midlife crisis, so he heads to the Alps in search of the sublime. The philosophical cinematic exploration of the founder of conservatism, Edmund Burke, about the sublime and beauty in the majestic panoramas of the Alps will certainly raise many questions, for example about the beneficial effects of solitary confinement on mental health, which we can discuss after the screening with the leading Czech philosopher, phenomenologist Anna Hogenová.

Prof. PhDr. Anna Hogenová, CSc. – Czech philosopher and writer, Head of the Department of Philosophy and Ethics at the Faculty of Education, Charles University and also Head of the Department of Philosophy at the Hussite Theological Faculty, Charles University – her life credo is: “Don’t let yourself be poisoned!” – She loves the philosophical works of Plato, Martin Heidegger and Jan Patočka – she is the author of a number of books and professional publications on practical philosophy for life.
