Dear fans of film art,

Days of European Film is a festival that has traditionally given us the opportunity to follow the latest European cinema. It is a rare opportunity to see films that do not appear in mainstream distribution, usually with a story that we carry in our minds for a long time, often with a lot of questions. At the same time, the festival is an opportunity to see lesser-known works and, thanks to a carefully thought-out dramaturgy, to build up a picture of contemporary European cinema for ourselves. Many of the films screened have also won prizes at major festivals. Simply put – European Film Days are worth a visit, and not only in Prague. I am glad that the Ministry of Culture gives its long-standing support to this showcase and I can continue it. I wish the festival full halls, satisfied viewers and inspiration for the next years after unusual viewing times!
